Satori Komeiji? Who is that?
Satori Komeiji (古明地 さとり Komeiji Satori) is a Satori capable of reading minds and is mistress of the Palace of the Earth Spirits after the underground city was separated from Hell. She manages the ruins of the Hell of Blazing Fires where her home stands and also manages the youkai and vengeful spirits of the underground. She first appeared as the Stage 4 boss of Subterranean Animism and is also a starring character in Foul Detective Satori.Personality
Satori often has a calm and deductive demeanor especially when dealing with serious affairs. She can be very blunt and come across as rude especially due to reading the minds of people she comes across which can lead to people disliking her. Also, due to her ability of always reading minds, she prefers to stay in the calm location of the Underworld rather than the surface. Satori takes her role of managing the Underworld seriously and still shows kindness to the animals of the Underworld, such as Rin, and appears to be loved by animals who can't normally be understood in the first place. She spends a lot of time reading and writing books, and she's especially fond of stories that delve into the psychology of the characters.Abilities
Reading minds As a satori, Satori is capable of using her Satori eye to read the heart and mind of any living creature, even vengeful spirits. This ability works only on those within her Satori eye's line of sight, and doesn't work at all on her sister, Koishi. Satori's mind reading ability can exhaust her, especially when coming to the surface, due to many lingering thoughts that can be in the area around her. She also seems to be able to show others what she sees if they're in close proximity, as shown in Foul Detective Satori chapter 43 where she is able to share Mizuchi Miyadeguchi's thoughts with Reimu Hakurei.Awakening and copying trauma Although Satori cannot directly read past memories, she can use hypnotic lights to distract opponents causing them to think they might die from a sudden danmaku attack. This will bring back traumatic memories to the surface of a person's mind or induce amnesia. After successfully awakening the trauma, Satori is able to tap into her target's memories and use patterns they may have seen in the past - i.e. Spell Cards that the player character may have fought against in a previous game. This is a true recreation, not an illusion, but is not completely exact (possibly due to flaws in the source memories, or Satori lacking the original users' abilities).
